The African Golden Awards 2025 that was held in Lagos recognized standout Africans in entertainment, leadership and media. With four notable wins across politics, music, film and television Kenyan talent stood out and flew the flag high at the event. The following are local stars who were recognized and awarded;
Babu Owino- Top Influential Young African Leader of the Year

Babu Owino gained national fame as the chairman of the Student’s Organization of Nairobi University before being elected MP for Embakasi East in 2017.The Africa Golden Awards praised him for his visionary leadership, his consistent focus on youth empowerment and social justice
Khaligraph Jones-Best lyricist of the Year

Vera Sidika-Top Female Reality TV Star of the Year
Socialite and entrepreneur Vera Sidika was crowned Top Female Reality TV Star. She gained fame after being starred in Nairobi Diaries. She joined the cast of Real Housewives of Nairobi, a role that has expanded her media presence. The African Golden Awards hailed her for her impact on reality television and her unmatched influence on social media. Her awards reflects the growing power of digital content creators and the evolution of African reality TV.
Pascal Tokodi- Best Actor of the Year

He is an actor as well as a musician and bagged the Best Actor title. The award recognized his broader contribution to film and television on the continent.
